WBCS Preliminary Examination has one paper: General Studies.  WBCS Prelim Paper covers current events, history, geography, politics, economy, general science, etc. The mark of the WBCS Prelim Exam are the qualifying marks for the WBCS Main examination.

WBCS Prelim Exam Syllabus 2024

The WBPCS Prelims Exam is conducted at various centers across West Bengal. The WBCS Prelims Syllabus contains eight subjects/topics with 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each topic carries 25 marks, and the exam duration is 2.5 hours. It’s important to note that the Prelims serve as a screening test, and the marks obtained are not considered for the final selection process.
