West Bengal Government has started the OASIS Scholarship for backward-class students. The full form of OASIS is Online Application for Scholarship in Studies.Â
Backward classes Welfare and Tribal Development Department operates the OASIS Scholarship portal. SC, ST, and OBC students can access all scholarship schemes through this portal.

How to apply the online From
Students should follow the following steps to complete the registration for the Scholarship –Â
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Backward Classes Welfare & Tribal Development Department.
Step 2: For new student’s registration, click on the “Student’s Registration” linkÂ
Step 3: Now Select the district in which your institute belongs to this district.Â
Step 4:Â Agree the terms and conditions and proceed to the next step.
Step 5: Verify your caste certificate
Step 6: Start filling out the applicationÂ
Step 7: Submit the Application & take a printout.Â
Step 8: Submit the hard copy of the Application and other necessary documents to your institute.Â

Students should follow the following steps to complete the Renew of the OASIS Scholarship –Â
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Backward Classes Welfare & Tribal Development Department.
Step 2: For old student’s registration, click on the “Renew Scholarship” linkÂ
Step 3: Now Select the district in which your institute belongs to this district.Â
Step 4:Â Login by using User ID and Password
Step 5: Start filling in all details and updated bank details in your application.Â
Step 7: Submit the Application & take a printout.Â
Step 8: Submit the hard copy of the Application and other necessary documents to your institute.Â
