The Union Public Service Commission has designed a three-stage selection process for the recruitment of UPSC ESE 2024. It is mandatory for every eligible candidate to successfully qualify for all three stages of the selection process.

UPSC ESE 2024 Exam Pattern:Â
The UPSC ESE 2024 exam is conducted in three stages: the Preliminary Examination, the Main Examination, and the Personality Test stage. Every successful candidate goes through these stages
Stage I: Preliminary Examination
The time duration of the Preliminary examination is 5 hours. There is a negative marking for each wrong answer, with 1/3 marks deducted for every incorrect response.
